2CupsMixed berries of your choice (I use strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, and blueberries)
2TBSP Maple syrup or honey
½Lemon juice
Instructions
If using fresh berries, rinse them. If used strawberries, trim off the greens. If using frozen berries, skip this step.
In a saucepan on medium heat, add the berries, maple syrup, and lemon juice. Simmer for 5-7 minutes, using your spoon to help the fruit break down.
Use an immersion blender or potato masher or a fork to puree the berries, then turn off the heat.
Transfer the jam to a glass container and close the lid. Place in the refrigerator to cool
Notes
This mixed jam berry might not be thick like the store-bought jams. However, it will thicken more when cooled in the refrigerator. Or you can add a couple of tablespoons of chia seed to thicken it up and add additional fiber. The store-bought jam is thicker because a high amount of artificial pectin is used to thicken them up.
