Exactly four years ago, in March 2020, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, I welcomed my son into the world and started my MOTHERHOOD journey.
The hospital walls echoed with the announcement of lockdown measures, marking a seismic shift in the global landscape—a transformation that resonated deeply with each of us.
For mothers like me, whether it was the first taste of motherhood or a seasoned journey, navigating the uncharted waters of pandemic-era parenthood posed formidable challenges.
Adding to the complexity, I found myself in a new country, the United States, which I now call home. The backdrop of my journey unfolded as I relocated while pregnant with my first child, ultimately giving birth just months later.
The confluence of new motherhood, cultural adjustment, and the upheaval of a pandemic created a whirlwind of emotions and obstacles to overcome.
Yet, in the midst of chaos, seeds of passion took root. Amidst this chaos, I birthed not only my children but also a blog and podcast. A platform that became the cornerstone of Enathood, a vibrant community of mothers united by shared experiences and challenges.
As I reflect on the past four years, witnessing the growth of my son and daughters, I am amazed by the journey.
Motherhood has sculpted me in ways I never imagined. The maturation and the rapid myriad of experiences—both joyous and painful—all underscore the profound love and fulfillment I find in being a mother.
In this blog post, I endeavor to distill the wisdom gleaned from my journey through motherhood.

The Joy My Children Bring Me is Indescribable.
Their laughter, hugs, milestones – each moment fills my heart with unparalleled happiness.
Through the ups and downs of parenthood, the simple joys of seeing my children happy and healthy sustain me. And remind me of the incredible gift of motherhood.
Motherhood has Transformed Me into a Better Person.
It is a journey of constant growth, molding, and self-reflection. My children are my greatest teachers, illuminating the path to kindness, patience, and unconditional love.
Their innocence, fearlessness, and boundless curiosity inspire me to embrace life with a newfound sense of wonder and appreciation.
Through the challenges and triumphs of motherhood, I have discovered strengths and depths of compassion within myself that I never knew existed.
Motherhood is a Joy Intertwined with Fear.
From the moment a child enters our lives, there is an overwhelming sense of love and happiness. Also, there is a constant undercurrent of fear alongside it.
The responsibility of caring for another life brings with it the fear of the unknown. The fear of making mistakes, and the fear of not being able to protect our children from harm.
Yet, despite these fears, the joy of watching our children grow and thrive outweighs all else.
Motherhood is Messy
Both literally and figuratively. From sleepless nights, diaper blowouts, emotional meltdowns, and chaotic days, parenthood is far from picture-perfect.
It is a messy, beautiful journey filled with unexpected twists and turns. Yet, amidst the messiness, a raw authenticity binds us together as mothers.
We find our most authentic selves in these messy moments and forge unbreakable bonds with our children.
Motherhood Requires Balancing the Needs of Our Children with Our Passions and Self-care.
As mothers, we often prioritize the well-being and happiness of our children above all else, sometimes at the expense of our own needs and desires.
However, it is essential to remember that nurturing our passions and caring for ourselves is not selfish. Still, it enables us to be our children’s best version of ourselves.
Finding this balance can be a constant juggling act. It requires us to carve out time for self-care and pursue our passions while still fulfilling our responsibilities as mothers.
Whether it’s dedicating a few moments each day to engage in activities that bring us joy, pursuing hobbies and interests outside of motherhood, or simply taking time to rest and recharge. Prioritizing our well-being is crucial for our mental, emotional, and physical health.
By nurturing our passions and taking care of ourselves, we not only set a positive example for our children but also cultivate a sense of fulfillment and purpose in our lives.
Finding this balance may not always be easy! But it is a journey worth embarking on—one that ultimately enriches both our lives and our children’s lives.
Let’s embrace the beauty of motherhood while also honoring the importance of self-care and pursuing our passions.

Calmness is My Power. Prayer is My Fuel
In the whirlwind of motherhood, I’ve learned to take things one step at a time. This practice of staying present and focused has been my anchor amidst the chaos.
I’ve witnessed its transformative power in my journey as a mother by embracing calmness.
It’s not about doing everything perfectly or all at once but approaching each moment with intention and mindfulness.
This simple yet profound shift in perspective has allowed me to navigate the ups and downs of motherhood with grace and resilience.
So, to all the moms out there, remember: in the midst of it all, your calmness is your greatest strength.
As a believer, prayer and talking to my God fuels, comforts, and gives me clarity.
Motherhood is a Journey of Many Seasons
Even though my oldest is only four, I have experienced several seasons quickly, and I know many more lie ahead.
From the newborn phase to toddlerhood, from becoming a mom of two for the first time to expanding to a family of three, each stage brings unique challenges and joys.
Sending my son to school for the first time and navigating sickness, life changes, and various circumstances. These experiences have taught me that motherhood is a series of ever-changing seasons, each with its own set of needs and demands.
Through it all, I’ve realized that many things are temporary. Some seasons may be more challenging, but they all eventually pass.
This realization brings me hope, knowing that nothing stays the same forever. Whether it’s the adorable moments or the tough times, they all eventually fade away, making room for new experiences and stages.
So, even during the toughest seasons, I hold onto the understanding that this, too, shall pass, and I find comfort in knowing that each phase of motherhood is just a temporary stop on this beautiful journey.
